We realized this project based on a request from an interior designer. The task was to manufacture two minimalist poufs that would serve as a functional and aesthetic addition to the space. The main requirement was to visually unify the furniture with the flooring, making the base of the poufs a natural extension of the floor.

The foundation for the perfect cylindrical shape is a sturdy plywood frame. High-resilience polyurethane foam (PU foam) was used as the filler - it provides a comfortable, firm seat and ensures the product will not lose its shape over time. The poufs are upholstered in a wear-resistant textured fabric with a geometric print. Working with a plaid pattern on round shapes requires special accuracy. Our craftsmen carefully centered the design and aligned the pattern to avoid any visual vertical skewing of the fabric. The finishing touch is an integrated base covered with natural oak veneer. To achieve a perfect match with the interior, we accurately selected the wood stain shade based on a laminate sample provided by the client.
