Jewelry Box Photo Zone
This commercial project was realized for the jewelry brand Given, who approached us through a recommendation. Our task was to design and manufacture not just a piece of furniture, but a functional art object-a sofa in the shape of an open hexagonal jewelry box. The piece is intended to serve as a mobile photo zone for the company's participation in exhibitions, galleries, and promotional events.
Materials and features:
Frame and filler: The entire frame of the piece is made of reliable moisture-resistant plywood. Considering the active use at off-site events and the need for constant transportation, we engineered a special collapsible design. It perfectly holds the complex geometric shape resembling a cut gemstone, but can be easily dismantled for logistics. The seat is filled with premium High-Resilience polyurethane foam (HR foam), ensuring durability and comfort for visitors.
Upholstery: The piece is upholstered in a rich, tactilely pleasant velour in the brand's corporate color. This specific texture was chosen intentionally: it visually imitates the classic inner lining of a premium jewelry box and creates beautiful play of light and shadow in photographs.
Functionality: Special attention was paid to the lighting design to make the photo zone truly magical. A hidden LED strip runs along the bottom perimeter, giving the massive structure a striking "floating" effect. On the back of the lid, there is a glowing brand logo that acts as an eye-catcher from afar. However, for the front inner logo, we deliberately avoided backlighting-a thoughtful technological decision to prevent glare and overexposure when guests take pictures inside the box.
