This project was realized based on a brief from an interior designer. Our task was to create a comfortable seating area in the entryway, rationally utilizing the niche under the wooden stairs. We manufactured a minimalist soft zone consisting of a wall panel backrest and a separate seat cushion, united by a common visual style with a square decorative tufting.

Materials and features:

• Frame and filler: Reliable moisture-resistant plywood is used as a rigid base for the backrest. High-quality, high-density polyurethane foam (PU foam) is used to fill the seat and backrest, which does not sag over time and provides a comfortable seat.

• Upholstery: The piece is made of wear-resistant furniture fabric in a practical shade. The material withstands daily mechanical stress well, which is especially important for furniture in the entrance area.

• Functionality: The design is thought out for maximum everyday convenience. The backrest is mounted stationary, while the seat is made as a separate element. The cushion is equipped with a removable cover on a zipper for easy cleaning or washing. To prevent the seat from shifting during use, it is securely fastened to the base using a Velcro system.
