Custom Cafe Sofas
This commercial project was realized in close partnership with a design studio. We were tasked with manufacturing a batch of sofas for a sushi restaurant chain. The specifics of the HoReCa segment demand an uncompromising approach to furniture durability, yet it was crucial to preserve the cozy, home-like aesthetic envisioned by the designer. The main feature of the project became a calibrated balance of ergonomics. We managed to create seating that meets stringent commercial operation standards while remaining envelopingly soft and comfortable for guests.
Materials and features:
Frame and filler: The foundation relies on moisture-resistant plywood, guaranteeing structural reliability under an intense daily flow of visitors. For the seats and backrests, we used specialized high-resilience polyurethane foam (PU foam) designed specifically for public spaces. It does not sag over time and lacks that typical "commercial stiffness" - the sofas turned out genuinely cozy and inviting for long relaxation.
Upholstery: Wear-resistant velour in a deep terracotta shade. This material boasts high Martindale abrasion test scores, responds excellently to both dry and wet cleaning, and provides visitors with a premium tactile experience. The brand's identity is subtly accentuated by custom decorative pillows featuring the establishment's logo.
Functionality: The vertical channeled tufting not only sets a dynamic interior rhythm but also prevents the fabric from stretching and losing shape during use. The correct backrest angle and optimal seating depth were carefully engineered to ensure guests are as comfortable as possible while enjoying their meals and socializing.
