Asymmetrical Headboard Bed
This project was realized based on a brief from an interior designer. Our task was to manufacture a modern double bed with a non-standard backrest geometry. The headboard consists of two multi-level parts, upholstered in different but harmonious fabric shades.
During the design and assembly process, we paid special attention to the joint between the two headboard modules. The frame and upholstery pattern were calculated to ensure a tight fit of the parts to each other. The result is a neat and even joint without gaps or fabric folds, which visually unites the two independent parts into a single composition.
Materials and features:
Frame and filler: The bed base has a reliable combined construction, a sturdy metal frame clad with moisture-resistant plywood. This provides rigidity and prevents the furniture from loosening over time. The shape and softness of the headboard are defined by high-density polyurethane foam (PU foam), which perfectly maintains a straight, even edge.
Upholstery: A wear-resistant textured fabric in two shades was used. The material emphasizes the minimalist design of the product and is highly practical for everyday care.
Functionality: The bed is mounted on tall metal legs. This visually lightens the structure and leaves enough clearance for the unhindered operation of a robot vacuum cleaner. The sleeping area is equipped with a reliable slatted orthopedic base.
